At long last we have managed to get our latest project off the ground. It has turned out to be a larger job than I had imagined.
In order to upgrade the 8 en-suite shower rooms on Rendcomb Ward side rooms we have had to employ an architect to ensure that all the rules and regulations are upheld and that ventilation and heating are a priority.
There is a possibility that we can turn the rooms into wet rooms – it will take a little longer to alter each room because we would need to wait for the new floor to dry before we could lay the vinyl. It is estimated that it will take 3 weeks to complete each side room. Within that time we would also decorate the room and replace the flooring.
We do not have an exact figure yet – that will come shortly but it is likely to be in excess of £120K. We have been awarded a grant of £10K from the Eveson Trust but we will need your help to complete this fundraising target. Any support you can give will be greatly appreciated.
Just imagine being stuck in such a small room for anything up to 6 months – you should surely be able to look forward to a nice shower. At the moment, this is not a possibility for our severely ill patients. The new rooms will make a huge difference.
