This year’s Star to Remember Christmas remembrance services were held in the chapel at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital as well as our annual service at St Luke’s church in Cheltenham.
Both services were held on Sunday afternoons and are always well received and comforting to family and friends who wish to remember a loved on at Christmas time
The dedication of silver stars hung on the Christmas tree during the service gives everyone a reflective time to remember those who cannot be with us at Christmas. The stars then remain on the tree throughout the festive period.
Readings this year were by Claire Charlton, Dawn Branch, Nicky Dobbins, Reverend Katie McClure and Reverend Martin Riley. The hospital chaplains and Revered Dr Mike Workman from St Luke’s Church conducted the services beautifully.
LINC wishes to thank all those that took part in this year’s service and also to all that came to the service to take time to reflect and remember.
