Our next major project is to upgrade the 8 en suite shower rooms on the ward to create state of the art wet rooms. The current showers were installed in 1998 and they are very small and difficult to get into. A wet room would enable a nurse to help a severely ill patient and would be a huge benefit.
It is estimated that this work will cost in the region of £75K – it may be more depending on the cost of the tiles. Each side room would also be repainted whilst the shower room is being done.
I am in the process of talking to Mira showers and awaiting some designs from the plumber. The rooms are not all the same so some things will work in one room but not in another.
We would appreciate your help with this – could you take a loose change box, make a donation or hold a coffee morning? Any support you can give would be greatly appreciated.
