The champagne afternoon tea was a huge success at Highnam Court, over 120 ladies and gents were served a glass of champagne, kindly sponsored by Andy Cars of Gloucester or Elderflower presse sponsored by Bottlegreen, whilst they browsed the various stalls buying gifts for Christmas
Afternoon tea consisted of assorted sandwiches and a selection of delicious cakes served on beautiful vintage crockery by Emily’s Best from Pershore. The Orangery at Highnam was beautifully decorated by flower arrangements by Flowerama and with the addition of having local company, Table to Dine displaying how beautifully you can set a formal dining table, it looked truly spectacular. They were joined by Lisa Von Hallwyl, who is a young hat designer and had an amazing display of her bespoke hats.
Over £3,000 was raised from this event, we were delighted that so many sponsors and volunteers were able to help us, special thanks to Creeds Foodservice, who donated all the fillings, Waitrose for the bread and rolls, Jane’s Pantry generously donated cupcakes and Tina at The Lavendar Bakehouse for the wonderful selection of scones, brownies and fruit cake.
A final word of thanks must go to our printers Colour Connection, who very kindly printed our literature this year.
Very special thanks to Roger and Jenny Head for allowing us to hold the event at Highnam Court and to Jane Bruton for her support.
