As we come to the end of another financial year it is good to look back and note that this has been a good year for LINC.
Our donations are up and we have enjoyed some really lovely events. We are grateful to all our sponsors and supporters and hope they will continue to help us during 2016/17.
Our big event to start the new year is the Family Fun Day on Sunday 24 April at Cheltenham Racecourse which will include the bungee jump. There will also be a huge variety of attractions including a funfair, classic cars and train rides to Toddington. There will also be a shopping village of local stallholders.
Or, for something different, why not join our trip to enjoy the wonders of Secret London. This is on Wednesday 25 May – our coach will take us to London where we will change coaches and be shown round by a guide. Although there is some walking I have been assured that this is suitable for people with reduced mobility as I am intending to go myself. Please see the flier for more details.
Our wonderful patron Dr PJ Crook MBE is organising an Art Show in aid of LINC at St Michael’s Tower, Gloucester on 1st-2nd May. This will be a fantastic show and hope many of you will support us.
LINC has been able to give financial help and provide new equipment that has improved the care and well being of many people during this financial year. From refurbishing the patient waiting room in the LINC OPD to providing smart TVs for patients on the ward we continue to work to give all round support to leukaemia, lymphoma and other cancer patients who are treated within Gloucestershire NHS Foundation Trust.
